JOB DUTIES (Including, but not limited to): ? Represent the facility to potential facility users. Interpret and explain convention center policies and procedures. ? Respond to inquiries from prospective and confirmed facility users regarding general information, rates and space availability for the facility. ? Produce accurate, creative and complete responses to event inquires and RFP’s. ? Prospect new convention center clients (event bookings) through means such as cold calling, research, personal visits, written correspondence and participation in promotional, community and industry events. ? Investigate available dates and compatible spaces for new and repeat facility users, suggesting alternate dates when necessary. Identify and avoid date conflicts with incompatible events. ? Conduct facility tours and make formal presentations to event organizers regarding facility booking policies, rental rates, services and operational policies. ? Screen facility use applications and other documents for compliance with established policies and procedures. ? Conduct background checks on prospective events. ? Prepare written facility use proposals and cost estimates for potential facility users; reevaluate potential business value of various events and facility users; initiate booking discussions; finalize all booking arrangements. ? Enter and maintain facility user contact information and booking information into computerized event booking and management system; update as necessary. ? Prepare event license agreements and addenda; consult with your Supervisor or others with Authority to modify contracts regarding specific language issues; prepare related correspondence to facility users. ? Assist facility users in finalizing booking arrangements. ? Provide information to and relay information between other facility departments involved in servicing events. ? Assist facility users and event managers with planning events. ? Prepare various reports on operations and activities. ? As assigned, conduct a variety of industry related studies and recommend modifications to departmental service delivery methods and operational policies and procedures as appropriate. ? Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. ? Travel to and represent the facility at various industry events. Participate in related trade organizations. ? Track prospective event progress in the Center’s event booking & management software program. ? Maintenance Manager

Summary:
Under general direction from the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Manager directs, manages, supervises and coordinates the activities and operations of the Maintenance Department at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. The Maintenance Manager schedules the maintenance technicians and laborers and coordinates the provision of utilities as needed for event activity. As the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of the Center’s infrastructure. Your role will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement of plant operations to enable an efficient operation and maintain a comfortable environment for everyone within the boundaries of the facility.

Maintenance Technician | Electrician

Summary:
Under general supervision by the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician (Electrician) is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of the electrically powered systems and equipment including distribution systems and equipment along with various general maintenance related tasks including plumbing, painting, trades and grounds keeping. Most of the work takes place in a temperature-controlled environment. Power tools, hand tools and uniforms are provided.

Maintenance Technician | Skilled Crafts

Summary:
Under general supervision by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technicians perform general facility maintenance and repair tasks of average to considerable difficulty to ensure that the facility remains in a presentable, operable and efficient condition. Tasks include ensuring proper working condition of HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, carpentry, occasional grounds keeping and general trades’ tasks. In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technicians will receive instruction from the Director of Operations.

JOB DUTIES (including, but not limited to): ? The primary focus of this Maintenance Technician position is on proficiency in the area of skilled crafts ? Perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, masonry, welding, carpentry, dry wall, grounds keeping and other trades related tasks ? Perform troubleshooting, repairs and adjustments to locks, doors, cabinets, sinks, faucets, toilets, kitchen equipment, emergency equipment ? Provide quick response and perform tasks in a timely manner with a high regard to quality that will consistently meet and/or exceed high standards. ? Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner. ? Respond to emergency requests for repair services, diagnoses problems and either immediately makes repairs or calls on a supervisor for additional assistance or direction ?
