Marketing Manager

Under general direction from the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Manager performs a wide variety of duties in the areas of sales, advertising, marketing, promotional activities, public/client/employee relations, website, social media and sponsorship programs.

JOB TITLE: Marketing Manager Department: Sales & Marketing Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing Supervises: Interns Status: Full-Time; Salaried, Exempt SUMMARY: Under general direction from the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Manager performs a wide variety of duties in the areas of sales, advertising, marketing, promotional activities, public/client/employee relations, website, social media and sponsorship programs. JOB DUTIES: (including, but not limited to…) ? Develop, implement and evaluate the Center’s marketing plan/initiatives. Assist Center clients with marketing initiatives to increase event exposure and attendance ? Actively promote and market the Center as a world class meeting and exhibition facility ? Develop the Center’s marketing materials and implement promotional programs. ? Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns ? Develop the Center’s advertising campaign. Create and place advertising media. ? Manage social media and e-Marketing programs for the Center ? Develop, sell, coordinate, service and evaluate advertising/sponsorships opportunities and programs ? Prepare proposals, pitch advertising/sponsorship opportunities, discuss terms and prepare contract template ? Develop, implement and administer public relations model; plan, organize, and coordinate all public relations efforts for the facility. Assist events with their public relations initiatives. ? Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local and regional media representatives ? Develop and issue media alerts and press releases ? Respond to requests for information from the general public, media, organizations and clients ? Collaborate with Center stakeholders for the benefit of the Center or Center events ? Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing with the development of the annual departmental budget and the Center’s Sales & Marketing Plan ? Update and maintain the facility’s website; serve as liaison for all website related issues, updates and analytic reporting ? Provide creative support to the Center’s sales team. Assist with preparing presentations and proposals ? Manage student intern recruitment and assignments for the Sales & Marketing Department ? Manage the Center’s Digital Signage Program ? Obtain and organize all approved promotional materials for the Center ? Facilitate the taking of pictures and videos at events. Maintain a catalog of facility and event pictures/videos ? Develop and implement new and creative revenue producing sponsorship, promotional and blitz ideas ? Prepare and present clear and concise reports and other related correspondence ? Oversee the development of facility maps, floor plans and capacity charts (stationary and interactive) ? Produce the Center’s e-Newsletter, Annual Report and other documents as required ? Manage the implementation of the Center’s Annual VIP Christmas Parade Party ? Methods of demographic research. Website management and Google analytics tracking/reporting ? Development and implementation of strategies to maximize the effectiveness of social media channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Instagram Ability to: ? Plan and formulate strategies; Implement strategies by using or adapting tactics ? Establish and maintain cooperative-working relationships with those contacted in the course of work ? Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions; present recommendations; implement approved recommendations in support of organizational objectives ? Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays and extended numbers of days. Minimal travel required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: ? Minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in sales and/or marketing preferably with a convention center, hotel, sports facility, performing arts facility or other multi-purpose public assembly facility, including some supervisory experience ? Minimum of one (1) year of experience developing and selling advertising and sponsorship packages ? Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with a graphic design program, managing and editing a website ? Minimum of one (1) year of experience managing a variety of social media channels for an organization. Education / Training: ? Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university with major course work in sales, marketing, communications, business, public relations or another related field ? Additional years of experience may be substituted for formal education Licenses or Certificates: ? Assistant Box Office/Parking Manager

Under general direction from the Box Office / Parking Manager, the Assistant Box Office/Parking Manager assists the Box Office/Parking Manager in managing all aspects of box office, parking and utility service operations.

Assist in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, motivating and evaluating event cashier personnel; assist in developing performance level standards and in providing or coordinating training accordingly; work with event cashier personnel to correct deficiencies; recommend appropriate disciplinary action ? JOB DUTIES: (include, but are not limited to) ? Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of the facility and equipment that do not require a specialized technician ? Operate a wide variety of equipment used in the maintenance of the facility such as saws, drills, torches, sanders, cutters, grinders and other maintenance equipment ? Drive a pick-up truck, forklifts, high-lifts, pallet jack, electric carts, and other vehicles and motorized equipment as required in the performance of duties ? Assist in installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and related equipment; mixing and matching paints, stains, and painting ? Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes, valves, faucets, sinks, and other plumbing facilities; repair and maintenance of the facility to include chairs, tables, doors, windows, drywall, carpet and other building items and fixtures ? Operate software-based computer systems controlling the HVAC equipment and lighting controls for the center ? Assist in the operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment. Perform repair and maintenance of various other tools and equipment ? Performs routine and preventative maintenance tasks, change light bulbs, respond to service requests, respond to calls for assistance with event activity, troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs ? Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. ? Escort contractors throughout the facility ? Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities ?
