Maintenance Manager

Summary:
Under general direction from the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Manager directs, manages, supervises and coordinates the activities and operations of the Maintenance Department at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. The Maintenance Manager schedules the maintenance technicians and laborers and coordinates the provision of utilities as needed for event activity. As the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of the Center’s infrastructure. Your role will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement of plant operations to enable an efficient operation and maintain a comfortable environment for everyone within the boundaries of the facility.
Maintenance Technician | Electrician

Supervises: Occasional Functional Supervision of Maintenance Laborers
Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Summary:
Under general supervision by the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician (Electrician) is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of the electrically powered systems and equipment including distribution systems and equipment along with various general maintenance related tasks including plumbing, painting, trades and grounds keeping. Most of the work takes place in a temperature-controlled environment. Power tools, hand tools and uniforms are provided.
Maintenance Technician | Skilled Crafts

Summary:
Under general supervision by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technicians perform general facility maintenance and repair tasks of average to considerable difficulty to ensure that the facility remains in a presentable, operable and efficient condition. Tasks include ensuring proper working condition of HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, carpentry, occasional grounds keeping and general trades’ tasks. In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technicians will receive instruction from the Director of Operations.
Maintenance Laborer | Electrician Helper

Reports To: Director of Operations, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technician
Supervises: N/A
Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Summary:
Under direction from the Maintenance Technician (Electrician), the Maintenance Laborer (Electrician Helper) assists the Center’s Electrician with installing and maintaining electrical/power systems and will assist other Maintenance Technicians on other various maintenance related tasks. In the absence of the Maintenance Technician (Electrician), the Maintenance Laborer (Electrician Helper) may receive instruction from other Maintenance Technicians or the Director of Operations.
Senior Housekeeping/Set-up Manager

Summary:
Under general direction from the Director of Operations, the Sr. Housekeeping/Setup Manager manages and coordinates the overall custodial, housekeeping and event setup activities and operations for the facility and provides responsible staff assistance to the Director of Operations.
