For the very first time, the ever-popular Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention (CKC) will include Richmond, VA, in its 2016 schedule and will host this event at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, October 7-8, 2016. This event is a weekend full of creativity and fun that includes education, shopping, and crafting.

What to expect:

SHOPPING: Leading manufacturers in the scrapping and crafting industry from all over the U.S. ship in their products, set up booths and allow attendees the opportunity to shop the current trends, latest designs, and newest lines; any attendees opt to purchase an Early Entry ticket allowing them to enter the shopping floor an hour before the show opens to shop before the crowd.

LEARNING: Brooke Mathewson, Senior Events Manager said, “Teachers at CK events know their stuff . . . they know products and materials. Many people leave a CKC class feeling like an expert, that is because of [the] wonderful teachers.” Class attendees also get the opportunity to use the latest products and tools and in most cases, leave each class with a complete project.

CRAFTING: All crafters have unfinished projects on their “to-do”. The Thursday, Friday & Saturday crop parties are an informal gathering of scrappers looking to work on projects in a fun and creative environment with their friends. Plus – costume contests, decorating contests, prizes, and giveaways make the CKC crops a can’t-miss!
